NextGen is a compassionate outreach of Christ Community Church, dedicated to rescuing street children and youth in Lira City and transforming their lives through the love of Jesus Christ.

We envision communities that reflect the love and character of Christ, where every child and youth has a safe home, belongs to a loving family, and possesses the skills to build a successful future.
THE PROBLEM
Thousands of children and youth live on our streets today
Without intervention, they are exposed to hunger, violence and a future with little hope. But we serve a God who specialises in redemption and restoration.

We reach children and youth where they are, offering immediate safety, shelter, food and medical care.

OUR STORY — OPONO HASSAN
At just 20 years old, Opono Hassan’s life is a powerful story of transformation. Once living on the streets with no job or place to call home, he was brought into our care through NextGen.
Today, Hassan has developed a strong passion for helping street children — the same life he came from. His dream is to see others experience the same hope and restoration he has found in Christ.
TIMOTHY'S STORY
At just 12 years old, Timothy had already lived through more pain than most people face in a lifetime. Terrified and heartbroken, he ran away and found himself living on the streets.
Through NextGen, Timothy was rescued and placed with a loving family who welcomed him as their own. Today, Timothy is slowly healing: laughing again, learning again, and beginning to believe his life can be full of hope.
